It’s (well into) August, so here’s a look at the newest movies and tv shows that are streaming on Netflix:

Air Bud

Air Bud: Golden Receiver (1998)
Picking up where the original Air Bud left off, Josh is the owner of golden retriever Buddy, who now plays football instead of basketball. Josh reluctantly becomes his school’s new quarterback, and Buddy catches the spirit and joins the team too.

All Cheerleaders Die (2014)
When a high school outsider joins the pep squad to carry out a vendetta, supernatural forces intervene — and a ghoulish battle of the sexes ensues.

Bad Ass 2: Bad Asses (2014)
When a young boxer he’s been mentoring turns up dead, Vietnam veteran Frank Vega hits the streets with his new partner, Bernie, to get revenge.

Best Laid Plans (2012)
Loosely inspired by John Steinbeck’s Of Mice and Men, this powerful drama follows the relationship between a hustler and his large, loyal friend.

The Birdcage (1996)

The Killing (Season 4)
It all comes down to this: the fourth and final season of the critically acclaimed crime thriller is a six-episode Netflix original that wraps up loose ends and reveals long-buried secrets. Detectives Linden and Holder return to investigate a gruesome mass slaying that exposes a dark family history, while trying to cover up a crime they committed.

Southcliffe (Season 1)
A journalist returns to the small town of his childhood to cover the story of a mass shooting while grieving residents cope with the tragedy’s shock.
